EXTON, PA, March 13, 2007 – Confirming its commitment to use its recently completedjointventure as a springboard to become a global provider of manufacturing technology solutions, Advanced Automation today announced the expansion of its MES consulting group.

Advanced Automation, Exton, PA-based leading provider of technology solutions to manufacturers in North America, completed a joint venture in February with EIAL – Engro Innovative Automation (Pvt.) Ltd., a South Asia-based global provider of industrial automation and engineering support products and services.

“It is one thing to be a ‘pretender’ in the worldwide market,” said Robert Zeigenfuse, Advanced Automation president and CEO; “it is something else to be a ‘performer’ and have the resources required to fulfill that vision. Fueled by customer demand for expertise capable of integrating technologies all of the way to the back office,” he continued, “we will aggressively offer our highly respected manufacturing execution systems to firms throughout the world.

“The hiring of James Heckmanski and John Roach is an impressive step toward fulfillment of that mission,” Zeigenfuse declared, “enabling us to add more than four decades of experience to address the automation needs of manufacturers worldwide. “

James V. Heckmanski brings 18 years of process automation engineering experience to Advanced Automation, gained with companies such as Panacea Technologies, Siemens Energy & Automation, and Honeywell Inc., where he worked with clients such as AMGEN, BASF, Bayer Biological, Centocor, DuPont, Kellogg’s, and Wyeth-Ayerst.

Heckmanski has served as project manager, principal, and project engineer working with a wide range of major automation platforms. He has successfully designed and implemented ISA-88 compliant batch systems in the life sciences and chemical markets, continuous systems in most other major vertical markets and is familiar with the various parts of 21CFR as the parts apply to manufacturing technology systems.

John R. Roach joins Advanced Automation from Taratec Development Corporation, a Bridgewater, NJ-based consulting firm, where he served as system architect, technical lead, and developer on multiple projects involving the Honeywell POMS Manufacturing Execution System.

Roach, who earned a BS in electrical engineering from Temple University/Messiah College, has worked for a number of system integrators as a consultant to the pulp and paper, pharmaceutical, steel, HVAC, chemical, and life science industries.

“These two manufacturing technology professionals have proven, successful experience providing guidance and solutions for the business and information needs of companies across a range of industries,” Zeigenfuse concluded. “They will serve as a model for the additional MES hires we anticipate.”
